(Ages 7+ | Suitable for beings of Type-Omega or higher) Components Check: 1. The Board (Note: The Board is designated 'The Underneath.' It is alive. Do not attempt to clean it.) 2. Four Player Tokens (Each token represents a foundational concept: Time, Entropy, Desire, or the Gap.) 3. Six-Sided Polyhedral Die (The D6. Must roll perpendicular to the gravitational pull.) 4. Rulebook (This document.) Objective: To be the first entity to successfully traverse the entire perimeter of The Underneath and land precisely upon the Central Node of Non-Existence. Setup: 1. Place The Underneath flat upon the dampest available surface. 2. Each player selects a token and places it on the starting space, labeled 'The Initial Breach.' 3. Ensure all players are sufficiently bored. Gameplay: The Turn Sequence On your turn, follow these three steps in order: 1. The Roll: Roll the D6. The resulting number dictates the maximum movement points. 2. The Advance: Move your token across the surface of The Underneath. Movement must follow the visible, fungal striations. If the striations are obscured by standing water, you must roll again until a clear path is established. 3. The Interaction: When you land on a space, immediately resolve its effect. Space Key: Mold Bloom: Stop movement. You must wait one full turn while the local humidity stabilizes. The Whisper: Roll the D6 again. If the result is even, you may immediately move an additional two spaces. If the result is odd, you must swap places with the player immediately to your left. The Sink: Your token is temporarily absorbed by the Board. You lose your next turn, but you gain the ability to perceive the Board's internal rhythm. Central Node of Non-Existence: Victory. Do not attempt to remove the token. Warning: Do not attempt to argue with the Board. If the Board resists movement, simply wait until the dampness level decreases. The game cannot proceed until the Board is satisfied.
